SVA 2026 Yearbook

SVA 2026 Yearbook
Publicaiton • Type Design
Each year, at the School of Visual Arts,  a select group of rising seniors is chosen to join the yearbook team, collaborating on the design of the book from initial concept to final production. I was honored to be chosen to design the custom typeface. The 2026  edition revolves around the theme “Shape Your Story” which explores how each each of our identities aren’t static but dynamic.

Gheo 26 is the yearbook’s custom typeface that embodies this theme. It is a low-contrast font that playfully explores geometric proportions and fundamental shapes. Structured angles juxtapose with circular forms, creating a sense of tension throughout the design. Alternate glyphs allow for experimentation and variety. Gheo 26 is a typeface that is dynamic and multifaceted like our own identities.
